2010 - Lumber and Shingle Milling still Important for State
Although in steady decline in recent decades, lumber and shingle milling is still an important part of Washington’s economy. In 2010, Washington State logged $5 billion in lumber sales. In 2012 Washington lumber mills were still processing 3.7 billion board feet of logs per year.
